In News of the Week
The Council's community visits on a Friday have begun again, the next ones are now Sept 11.
The council has released a compilation of historical landmarks, as part of a book called the Toowoomba Heritage self drive Tour. So if you want to learn a bit more about Toowoomba's history grab a copy from council customer service centres or the Visitor Information centres throughout the region.
The Strand picture theatre is open again, welcome back guys!
Congratulations to both The
Empire theatre and
The Met Hotel, who have received a $20,000 grant each from the Qld State government. So more great music at the Met and the Qld Ballet in September at the Empire
And lastly the Toowoomba group SES, new headquarters has been officially opened at Charlton, in the new Council Depot precinct.
