The 26th 1985 sees the Australian Govt. return Uluru and the National Park, back to traditional owners and then on the same date in 2019 the climb to the top of the rock was closed.
On the 27th 1962 saw Dawn Fraser become the first woman to swim 100 m under a minute
And on the 29th 1880 Bushranger Ned Kelly is sentenced to hang and 102 years later to the day in 1982 Lindy Chamberlain is convicted of murder
